On a warm sunny morning in July, Kelowna NatureKids enjoyed an Explorer Day at Mission Creek Regional Park, a beautiful spot for families to enjoy walking trails, a playground, a children’s fishing pond, picnic areas, and a Kokanee spawning channel.
Our club had the honour of learning about native plants with T’uy’t’tanat Cease Wyss (Skwxwu7mesh, Sto:lo, Hawaiian, Swiss), an educator, interdisciplinary artist and Indigenous ethnobotanist engaged in community based teaching and sharing.
