Start a new nature club

Do you want to help make nature accessible to children and families in your area? Here’s how to go about starting up your own NatureKids BC nature club.

The primary objective of all our nature clubs is to organize, promote and deliver monthly Explorer Day events in your area.

Our provincial office takes the administrative burden off leaders by dealing with membership management, production of promotional brochures, and posting member packs to new and renewing members. The office also manages the website with your club web page (where your Explorer Day events are listed), arranges for your liability insurance, as well as organizes province-wide initiatives for members (e.g. citizen science projects like amphibian road surveys). In addition, your club becomes part of a broader network of clubs and shares in the wisdom and support of other volunteer leaders around the province, while still maintaining its own flavour and unique personality.
