Kristina is a SFU Biology and English undergraduate student whose life mission is to protect the planet and the species that inhabit it, from the smallest of birds to the biggest of bears. She’s passionate about connecting others to the diverse ecosystems surrounding them; having previously worked at Science World as a Science Facilitator and with Parks Canada as a Coastal Naturalist, she has plentiful experience doing just that!
In her spare time, you’ll likely find her exploring local thrift stores and flea markets, napping with her two cats, or combing a beach for local marine critters.
Having been outdoors horseback riding or playing with caterpillars (gently!) for much of her childhood, Kristina understands how important large doses of nature are to a child’s health and happiness. Seeing as NatureKids facilitates these nature doses for families in BC, she’s excited to be working with an organization that feels the same way that she does about BC’s natural spaces! This summer, Kristina will be helping NatureKids BC update and refresh our website — stay tuned!
Kristina’s position has been made possible through the Federal Government’s Canada Summer Jobs Program.
