Tammy strives to create opportunities for every child to connect with nature in a personal way. As a certified teacher and consultant, Tammy has worked in environmental non profit management for over 20 years encouraging hands-on learning, exploration, enjoyment, and stewardship of the natural world.
She specializes in environmental education and resource development, program management, and non profit capacity building. Leading many projects with multi sector partners, Tammy has worked with the health, education, and business sectors as well as municipalities, parks, volunteers, community organizations and the general public. She has designed and facilitated professional development training workshops and manuals for educators, staff and volunteers, coordinated special events, and has designed and implemented communication and strategic plans for groups such as the Stanley Park Ecology Society, Evergreen, WildBC, KidActive and NatureKids. One of Tammy’s passions is to empower individuals and stimulate action; as a result much of her work has focused on stewardship. In her leisure time you will find Tammy cycling, walking with her dogs, gardening, and photographing nature.
